Got this TV media center card installed on my PC when purchased including an infrared and remote control unit. Nice feature to have on a PC though hardly ever used it. The PC is now old history by today standards yet still functional for office use. Had to upgrade the WiFi and the graphic card for basic functionality including also Windows 10 from the previous installed Windows Vista (8). The upgrade left me with no software for the WinTV.

The WinTV application can be installed if I chose to bring back Windows Vista or go to the WinTV manufacturer and purchase the software since they do not provide anything free. Basically, if you lose the software or need a replacement you pay for new one. I refuse to pay for a replacement and will not purchase another especially not for an old dinosaur type of computer.

Any ideas how to get the WinTV app from the old HP backup system?

You can get the Vista driver from this model that came with that TV tuner back in the day.
