I would like to install Windows 10 64 bit on my HP Compaq Elite 8300 MT. Unfortunately HP does not support Windows 10 for my PC. The HP Compaq Elite 8300 MT I own is a Intel Core i7-3770 Quad-Core which I use with an SSD Boot-disk. It is a very powerfull PC and sure suitable for Windows 10. Where can I find the appropriate drivers?
Thank you and best regards,
Bill

Hi, Bill:
According to the hardware ID you posted, it is an AMD Radeon HD 7450 graphics adapter, so this would be the driver you need for that...

I would try the W10 x64 Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta

Hi, Bill:
I have two older 8200 Elite CMT's, and both are running the latest build of W10 Pro just fine.
The only driver you should need to install is the W8.1 AMT driver.
This package contains the Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), including the Active Client Manager Host Embedded Controller Interface (HECI) device driver, and the Intel Local Management Service (LMS) and Serial-over-LAN (SOL) support for the supported desktop models and operating systems.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp67001-67500/sp67118.exe
I would also install the W10 chipset driver and W10 Realtek HD audio driver directly from Intel/Realtek.
The auto install file is the 2nd one down on the left side of the page.
Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the 64 bit audio driver and restart the PC.

Thank you for your reply and help Paul!
Do I also need to install a 3rd party driver for the Display Driver (AMD Radeon HD 7400 Series) ?
After I updated my notebook I had bad experiences with de Windows 10 display driver (causes a crash of Windows 10).
Best Regards,
Bill

You're very welcome.
Yes, if you have an add on card, use the Beta driver from AMD.
That was the latest one, since it is a legacy card.
I did that with the Radeon HD 6570 in one of my 8200 Elites.
I have since changed the card to the newer (but less powerful) nVidia GT 1030.

Hi, Bill:
You're luckier than I am.
The HD 7xxx series has pretty up to date drivers, so there is no beta driver like there is for the HD 6xxx series.
So, you have two options...
Select the latest production graphics driver for the HD 7xxx graphics adapter your PC has or
Select the optional Adrenalin 2019 edition (that would be equivalent to the beta).
If you still can't find what I am referring to, please let me know the exact model of the Radeon HD 7xxx graphics adapter your PC has, so I can post the direct link to the webpage.

Hi Paul, Thank you again! Within the Adrenalin 2019 edition for AMD Radeon HD7000 series I can only choose between the 7450 and 7470. I don't know my exact model. Is it possible to find that exact model with Powershell or WMI? Or do I need to open my PC housing and read the model from the card? Unfortunately the AMD Catalyst Control Center does not give detailed information about the hardware.

You're very welcome.
Please post the hardware ID for the AMD 74xx graphics adapter.
That will let me know the exact model.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...
