Hi,
Hello,
I'm having what looks like serious computer issues. Hoping for some help with this. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can help!
My Device:
HP ENVY Phoenix 810-160 Desktop PC (ENERGY STAR) (bought in 2014)
Windows 10
Internet Connection: LAN
My computer boots up to the desktop but then freezes and crashes soon afterwards. It's been glitching for quite some time now and crashes have been occurring more an more frequently lately but now it crashes every single time I get to the desktop.
It automatically ran a repair scan upon one of the restarts and said it was successful but I still had the exact same problems once it booted to the desktop .
The last program I installed was CCleaner about, say, 4 to 6 weeks ago to get rid of some temp files that Windows 10 wasn't able to get rid of anymore for some reason. My computer seems to be acting even more erratically since installing CCleaner, the most noticeable change being that my computer eventually started booting up VERY slowly. But I have no idea if CCleaner is what's actually causing my computer's problems because my computer had already been acting glitchy before installing it.
The persistent glitch I've been having for a long time now happens upon start up. For probably over a year now at least it's been giving me a blue warning screen that says "Hard Disk Error. Please run the hard disk test in system diagnostics. Hard Disk 6 (3F6)." I did run test with the Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Tool quite awhile ago and it said I had a faulty USB port. I never looked into it further than that because the computer would always run fine once it booted up to the desktop. So I just kept skipping the blue warning diagnostics notice every time without any problems.
But since my problems have gotten much worse now to where the my computer crashes every time I get to the desktop, I ran a system quick test and it pretty much immediately came back saying Hard Drive 1 failed the test. It also indicated four instances of USB port tests failing. Obviously, I'm no expert at technical computer stuff so I really can't interpret what these test logs are saying but it certainly doesn't look good.
Failure ID for the Hard Drive 1 test:
U0F9X9-7AFBKH-WPTV7G-60WM03
Failure ID for the USB Port tests:
U0F9X9-7AFBKH-WPTV7G-8D0603
Please check out the posted photos of the test logs and other relevant warnings.
Again thanks greatly to anyone who can help me out!
