Hi @DonnaGeary
Welcome to the HP Forum.
This is a tough one to diagnose because neither the OS nor the BIOS are indicating any errors.
Possible causes are:
1. Hardware, which could also include the external power adapter.
2. Hardware drivers.
3. Corrupted OS files.
4. Thermal.
5. Possible incompatible software.
Try the following suggestions if possible:
1. Run HP Diagnostics at startup. Start the PC. Tap the "ESC" key.
Select "F2". Run system and component tests.
2. Check this HP Site for the latest W11 software and drivers.
3. Run a Check Disk. Open an administrative command prompt.
Input the following command: sfc/ scannow
Then input this command if you have unfixable problems: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
This command should fix system file corruption. You can check this by running the sfc /scannow command again.
4. Use this HP Site to disassemble your PC. Clean internals with compressed air or a dust buster.
5. This would be the nuke it option; back up data. Reinstall the HP factory OS image.
Seeing the same problem after reinstalling the OS and running the system clean for a while would indicate a hardware problem which is not being detected by HP Diagnostics.
