Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000i (491A8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently had to replace my old computer and purchased a Victus by HP 15l Gaming Desktop . Prior to the old computer totally crashing, I had transferred all my documents, games, pictures , downloads, etc to external hard drives. I have a total of five external hard drives.  However, this new computer is not "seeing" these hard drives. Looking for some ideas and what to do.

Hi @SuzyQ1968

Wow, that is really weird seeing all five drives fail when connecting to a new PC. I am guessing the external drives are USB.

Is it possible to try the drives on a different PC?

Have you tried all open (front and back) USB ports on the new PC?

It almost sounds like a file system incompatibility. Or your A-V program is blocking external devices.

Have you checked to see if any of the connected drives are enumerated in "Disk Management"?

I have never encountered the situation you are seeing.

Regards
