Microsoft Windows 11

HP Z440 is not officially supported by Windows 11.
Meanwhile, I just installed it successfully the regular way, with a USB stick installation medium. I did not use any workaround, and here wasn't any message about compatibility. The version is 24H2.
The one particular thing I did in my installation: I choose "English - International" as currency language (to block bloatware installation) - this is followed by an error message but I just ignored it.

Configuration of computer:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-1650 v3 @ 3.50 Ghz

Memory 24 Go

NVIDIA Geforce GT 1030

Once you have done all of the updates to 24H2, you can run the W11 25H2 enablement file I zipped up and attached below and you will be on W11 25H2.

On newer PC's like yours that don't meet Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements. you can clean install W11 without any hacks.

I've clean installed W11 on PC's with Intel 6th and 7th gen core processors with no problems.

But you couldn't do an in place upgrade from W10>W11 or a previous version of W11 to a newer version of W11 without a hack.

I was shocked that Microsoft has allowed the attached enablement package to update from W11 24H2 to 25H2 on any PC supported or not.

I used it on an ancient HP 8200 Elite CMT PC with an Intel i7-2600 processor and the PC doesn't even support secure boot.

@Concombre,

Congrats -One last thing to worry about!

If you haven't upgraded your TPM 1.2 to TPM 2.0 yet -though I imagine you have, because Microsoft is quite particular about that.  But if you haven't, please take a look at my TPM 2.0 upgrade for HP Z440 Workstation: Solved: HP Z440 Workstation TPM 2.0 Upgrade - HP Support Community - 9422601.

Kind Regards,
