Hmm. I have no idea what the periodic update schedule might be for Windows 11. Just wondering if the update would seek to somehow "validate" the existing install before proceeding. Given that such an install was done without  having to pass the "official" MS hardware requirements, I was just thinking it might somehow not prove to be "updatable," based on those circumstances.

I can almost guarantee you that we will never get an update to W11 via the 'normal' channels on unsupported platforms.

 

We will always have to use tricks to install any subsequent new releases of W11.

 

If you go to enroll in the Windows insider program to test the new W11 releases, you will be informed that your PC does not meet the requirements.

Well, maybe running Windows 11 is just too much for my humble purposes, then. It's a shame that current HP workstations, even if they're still relatively new, will not be all that useful for ordinary work once Win10 support expires.
