HP Envy h8-1520t
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
I have to replace the hard drive in my computer because even though Windows 8 has repeatedly tried to fix whatever the problem is with my current C drive, the result is always the same, and it ends by telling me that it couldn't fix the problem. So I'm going to junk that hard drive and put in a new one.

However, how do I perform a Factory Reset once the new hard drive is in place? It's my only hard drive, so it won't have Windows on it obviously.

I don't have any Recovery Discs for this computer. I may not --and probably wasn't-- prompted to create any when I first started using this machine.

Thanks in advance to whomever sends me in the right direction.

Hi:

You can order a W8 recovery kit for your PC from HP at the link below...

Much appreciated. Thank you very much kind sir, even though I was hoping there was an easier way to do it. But no matter. If this does the trick I'll be happy. The only thing that annoys me is that I paid extra for 'Next Day (Afternoon)' Shipping, and once the order went through the delivery date is four days from now. I don't know how they came up with that as Next Day Afternoon delivery, but if I have to wait a few more days, it'll suck, but it's not as though there's much I can do about it.

I do appreciate your help nevertheless though. Again, thanks.

You're very welcome.

It might be due to the MLK holiday tomorrow, but since I don't work for or represent HP, I couldn't say for sure.

I know about the holiday even though I have to work tomorrow, but Thursday still doesn't amount to Next Day Afternoon delivery regardless.

And I very much figured you didn't work for HP, but this is their site we're posting to, and I wanted to point it out regardless.

Hopefully someone who does work for them will see it.

I'm not going to hold my breath over it either way. If they see it, great. If they don't, I won't lose any sleep over it.

The package will arrive when it arrives, but I hate to think how long it would have taken to get here had I chosen a different shipping option.
