Hello,
I recently wiped my hard disk to install Fedora Linux, but I need windows again. I used the Windows 11 Media Creation tool to create an ISO and wrote it to a flash drive. However, upon loading the installer, it doesn't recognize the disks inside, and says it requires a storage or media driver. It happens on both windows 10 and 11's installer. it internally uses a SATA HDD and nothing is in the internal NVME slot. I extracted these drivers and put them on a USB, but windows didn't recognize them.
the drivers I extracted
How can i fix this issue and install windows to this PC?
Thanks,
Glitchy Mario

Hi:
Try making a bootable USB recovery drive with the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this:
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support
You can download the software from the Microsoft Store:
HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
Since you will have to use the software on another Windows PC as your notebook is not working, you will have to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery drive.
Your PC's product number is 9EE21AA#ABA
If you end up with W10, then you can upgrade back to W11 by clicking on the blue Windows 11 Installation Assistant button at the link below or wait until Microsoft pushes the W11 update to your PC vial Windows Update.
If you had to disable secure boot and enable Legacy mode to install Fedora Linux, then you need to go back into the BIOS and enable secure boot and disable legacy mode to run W11.
And you need to do that prior to trying to reinstall Windows.

Thank you for the reply. Ive tried some things that you suggested, and ran into an issue using the Cloud Recovery tool.
Using a diffrent PC, i put in the serial number, but the model selection did not have any results for the HP All-in-One - 22-df0023w. I then made a Windows-To-Go USB, and tried loading the cloud recovery on the AIO itself, and this time it auto filled in the serial number and model name as th HP All-in-One - 22-df002xx, however, red text at the bottom says that the model is not found and to enter the serial manually, which is auto filled, and by checking the box it clears the model, and still is nowhere to be seen in the dropdown menu.
Am I using the wrong thing, or is there another way to get the install working?
Thanks,
Glitchy Mario
