I am trying to do a Factory Reset, but whenever I do I get this:15419527756951766241284.jpg

Yes, I have tried the whole Shift+F10 thong and entering "C:\hp\bin\checkdmi\checkdmi.cmd", but before I can put "goto cleanup", the computer shutsdown. I need some help.

Wow Vista!  Here is an old thread concerning a Code Purple

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktops-Archive-Read-Only/Code-Purple-Error-Help/m-p/1497837

Near the bottom of the first page and following is a procedure to try a fix

I tried doing so, but after I put "goto cleanup" and restarted the computer, it still didn't work. Even worse, I can't retry it because, for some reason, "C:\hp\bin\checkdmi\checkdmi.and" can't be found. Help?

From what I read, the code purple was a term used by HP when the Recovery Media logic thought it was being used on a different PC than what it was designed to restore.  It could be triggered by a simple hardware change that caused the mismatch.

Anyways continue reading in the linked thread for a different way to do it with a different PC as a host.
