HP Recommended

Windows update has presented several HP updates that appear to be old.  I was wondering "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies. 

The suggested updates:

SoftwareComponent - 1.80.4268.0

Extension - 1.0.0.5

SoftwareComponent - 4.2.2489.0

Should I install these?

I would be of the opinion same as you.  If the info about those "updates" is not better than what has been posted, then leave it be.
