HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Running a Pavilion Desktop TP01-2xxx. Came with windows 10 and free HP Win 11 Home 64 bit upgrade. have been running about 2 years with no issues. This AM Windows update says I need a newer version of OS to remain current. I've been running update almost daily without any problems. I don't understand the request.

It sounds like that the current W11 build you are on is going out of support.

You can check what build of W11 your PC is running by opening the Settings menu>click on System on the left side of the window and scroll down to the last item on the list (About).  Click on that, and it will show you the Windows Specifications where the build number will appear.

Microsoft only supports W11 builds for two years from the release date.

You can update your PC to the current build (24H2) by clicking on the blue Windows 11 Installation Assistant button (1st option) at the link below:

Thank you sir. I've probably ran this version for two years. I had no idea that MS limited their support.

You're very welcome.

Yes, each W11 build has a support lifecycle.
