I want to give my PC to a family member. I have a C drive that is SSD. Likewise, I have a Dee drive that is HDD. I believe My operating system is located in C drive. I have no personnel files in C drive. If I wipe my Dee drive where I have located all my personnel files, do I need to do a system recovery or a system reset before my family can use the Dee drive?
I had to come back and correct. The system put an emoji in the place of the letter Dee, so I spelled it Dee.
See what happens.
Thank you for your help with my question. Guido21

short answer NO, its your system and if you wish to give it to a family member then do just that, format your D drive, using disk management run a program called CCleaner, make sure you sign out of your microsoft account, sign out of your onedrive if you have one, make sure emails are sign out of and delete all browser data! or and hear me out on this one Do a system reset with the windows recovery tool and choose the option that says delete everything and let them do the first time set up on the device and call it good!!

My answer serves 2 purposes 1 is to delete all your personal data and the 2nd is to teach some something, the person doing the set up will learn how to set up a windows 10 or 11 device which really sucks honestly have to have wifi and a microsoft account unless you want to go through CMD to bypass it so you can create a local account which is a pain to say the least lol to much work for me for sure! KISS theory my friend is most of the time the best answer anyone can give you!
