I have an HP desktop. The wireless mouse works but the wireless keyboard just stopped working. I changed the batteries, but still not working. My computer is locked and I have no way of getting into it. I am sending this email from my Microsoft Surface laptop. Help!

If powering off and back on does not fix the problem then you will have to obtain (borrow) a wired keyboard so you can log into windows and find what the problem it.

You might consider installing the free version of splashtop to allow your surface pro to log into the desktop should this happen again.

A wired keyboard is always useful when one has to get into the BIOS setup as most wireless only work in windows.

Please provide the Product ID or exact model name for better assistance.
