Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization -

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello - I have an Omen 870-220.  In my window Virus & Threat protection, I have the red letters that state "Your Virus & threat protection is managed by your organization. I cannot change this setting. I am using Windows 10 Home I do not have a higher administrator or organization unless some other software is hijacking.  I ran Malwarebytes scan and it show I am clean.  This setting recognized Malwarebytes but I am trying to run Windows Defender.  How can I change this setting?

If malware might have disabled Windows Defender, then scan with several third-party malware-removal tools, starting with Malwarebytes Free:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_other-protect_scanning-windows_other/list-...

Then type “cmd” in the search box; right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator; and then copy, paste, and enter this command:

REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware
