Help, I cannot get my computer to contact withany printer, this happen just after Windows 11 update.  The serial BUS controller has afault, how to fix?  Desktop is a  HP Z230

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

It appears the printer is connecting to the PC via USB based upon your problem description.

 

It sounds like your PC now has a (Device Manager) USB controller problem happening after a Windows update.

 

Have you tried all available USB ports? Different USB ports generally use different MB USB controllers

 

Was the recent Window update an optional quality update which can usually be undone?

 

You should be able to uninstall a Windows feature update. Temporarily disconnect the PC from the network to stop Windows Update. The faulty update may install again if your PC is connected to the network.

 

Restart the PC. Now check USB function to see if the printer works again.
