Z230 tower 32bit to 64 bit

Hello, is there a way to switch from 32bit to 64 bit system without the need af a new Windows licence on my HP Z230 tower?

Hi:

If you have W7 64 bit installation media that matches the product key on the case (for example W7 Pro installation media for a W7 Pro key), you can use the key on your PC's case to activate the 64 bit installation.

If by "switching" from 32-bit to 64-bit you mean changing the OS but leaving the settings, data, and apps intact -- sorry, but that can't be done.

Instead, you would have to do a Clean-Install of 64-bit and that will overwrite everything you have at present.

You should be able to back off your personal data and reload it, but you will have to redo your settings and reinstall your apps from scratch.
