Hi everyone,
I'm trying to update my HP Z800 Workstation BIOS to version 3.60 (sp94184.exe), but HP’s site no longer hosts the file. All other download links I find are broken or lead to random unrelated sites.

If anyone has a copy of sp94184.exe or a BIOS dump of version 3.60, I’d appreciate it a lot!

Thanks in advance.

Can somebody help me please. This is all I'm having problems with in my system

updating the bios while having a unstable system is not recommended as a failed bios update can result in a bricked motherboard

Edit: and while the z800 3.60 bios is indeed still posted for download i'm not going to explain how easily it is to download from HP as that ver has known security issues

please post what the issue with the z800 is before attempting a bios update and list the currently installed bios

the z800 current bios is 3.61 (not 3.60) and is posted on the z800 driver page to DL simply go to the z800 driver page and select windows 7 x64 as the OS since we will be updating the bios from within the z800's bios it does not matter which OS or x86/x64 SP84159 file is selected

Note:

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE GRAPHICAL OS UPDATER FROM WITHIN WINDOWS,  while the updater appears to work most of the time there have been issues with it under later OS's resulting in a corrupted bios due to a failed flash stay with the within the bios update method which uses only DOS/bios commands to update

now use winzip or winrar to extract the SPxxxx file go into the extracted file folder and then into the DOS folder and you will see the extracted bios.bin file place this file onto a non bootable fat 32 formatted disk or usb key reboot with the usb key into one of the z800's usb ports and enter the bios and select update bios, it should find the bios file on the usb key (if not select that device)

z800 3.61 (win 7 x64) SP84159

Update: USB 3.0 PCI-e card

the rocket 1444 card will update the z800's onboard usb 2.0 to have 4 more usb 3,0 ports that can each do 5Gbps at the same time instead of the normal 5Gbps shared across all usb ports, check ebay from time to time as they sometimes appear for a reasonable amount
