Greetings @Dewisu73
I currently have no HP PCs.
Fresh Windows: installs and resets on my home built PCs don't auto generate user accounts unless I use an auto unattend XML file.
I also don't recall seeing this behavior on my last HP PC purchased in 2013.
I guess you're okay if HP Support gives this a two thumbs up.
Regards

Greetings @Dewisu73
Welcome to the HP Forum.
I've never seen this type behavior after doing a reset. Why did you do a reset?
Is the defaultuser0 an Admin account?
It sounds like someone else is creating user accounts on your PC. This would not be a good thing to see.

I reset the computer after following hp instructions for a yellow triangle exclamation point on the C drive doing finally a System Restore. The system restore froze for 8 hours with a black screen with the HP Logo so forced to do Reset. Reset first with system software on hard disc and again from the cloud. DefaultUser0 only appears after Restart. HP Support found this is not in the Control Panel Users so is not a problem. On Startup Defaultuser0 shows initially, and when click on ok I see the other users and log on.
