I upgraded my 8.1 OS HP H8-1534 64 bit 10Gb ram and 2 TB HHD to windows 10....I had problem with the upgrade so I reset the desktop saving all my files/folders....but in the process all my drivers were removed (ugh)...
but story short, I had acquired all the necessary drivers ( I thought) and loaded them back into the system
and I now have a working windows 10 OS....
in the process of doing microsoft updates, it says it saw the audio connection but didn't recognize who the Mfr. was...
if it saw it, well, it listed as a High Definition Audio Device and I don't know what came originally in the PC and it hasn't been replaced and I don't know if mfr. name is on it...
anywho, my audio does not work at all...
the speakers are good and I've gone thru all of the HP diagnostics, troubleshooting steps but to no avail.
When I loaded up the HP program that scans for drivers, it is confused and never gives me any info back most probably because all of my data on this site is for win 8,8.1 that I had to insert and now I've got a good working win 10 installed with no audio.
I would hope that I wouldn't have to put out any bucks for another board, but.....
Does anyone know how/where I can go to get some audio driver/s for the original board or a place that can recognize the board and do an install
or at least where I can get the driver/s and I'll do it my self.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:
You should be able to get the audio to work by installing this W10 IDT audio driver.
Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Thanks for the really good feedback...the install went well but looks as if I may have a PCB problem and that's where I'm
headed to now and will up date if I find the problem...I still don't have internet thru my ethernet cable so guess it's also
got a driver problem still and working on that also. I installed a usb wifi adapter and that was a life saver.

You're very welcome.
Unless the device manager shows an ethernet controller in need of a driver, W10 should have installed the correct driver for the Realtek ethernet adapter.
If not, this W10 driver should work directly from the Realtek site.
Realtek PCIe FE / GBE / 2.5G / 5G Ethernet Family Controller Software - REALTEK
Download, unzip and run the setup application.

Well, it went thru the process of repairing from last install and says it's installing the driver but when it finishes up it says:
"REALTEK NETWORK CONTROLLER WAS NOT FOUND. IF DEEP SLEEP MODE IS ENABLED, PLEASE PLUG THE CABLE"
Don't know about the deep sleep mode, 'cause if it is, don't know how it got that way as I wouldn't or couldn't access it.
Guess I'll keep using the wifi for now....I appreciate your help in this matter

Sometimes you get that 'deep sleep' error if the chipset driver is missing or needs to be reinstalled so the only suggestion I can offer regarding that issue, would be to install the AMD chipset driver from the link below and restart the PC.
You want the one listed for W10 64 bit and you want the first file listed.
