MartinMiciciday,

This system has a X58 chipset that uses triple-channel memory, meaing that there are three RAM modules per channel and the system should accept 24GB.

I suspect that the beeping is due to either a mismatch in the memory type, memory timing, or one of the new modules has failed.

1.  Verify Type: Check to see that the modules you're adding  are he same type- ECC unbuffered or registered.

My habit with workstations is to use the exact brand and part number for all the RAM and complete the memory channels.  If the system will start as far as BIOS, check in BIOS to see what the system reports as the memory configuration. If both the new modules are not recorgnized, then they are the wrong type or have failed.

2. Check for Failure: After verifying that the new RAM is the same as the original, try adding one module at a time to the system and starting.

If the systems beeps when one of the new modules is added, then that is a failed module.

The best performance will be attained when all the slots are filled with the same size and speed.  An office HP z420 has a higher memory benchmark on 4X 4GB than 4X 4GB + 4X 2GB even though they are the same brand and have HP part numbers.

thanks a lot for valuable guidance;

but there is long time that this cmputer is working whit 16GB (10600U) , but in the PDF is writen that the maximum Unbuffered RAM are 12GB, how can this happens? I mean why 16GB has no beep.

is there any solution to upgrade the memory capability, such as useing 3X8GB RAM on single processor computer?

I'm eager to solve this mystery.

I found this z800 book:  http://h20331.www2.hp.com/Hpsub/downloads/Mini_WP_Z800_memory.pdf

as you see there is writen maximum ram on single processor:
