The problem is there is not enough space in the HP recovery partition to add a backup of the BIOS.

Either the partition is too small or you replace the disk drive with a new one or did a clean instal of windows that removed the HP partition.

You need to create a bootable USB containing the BIOS. that is an option that is available when you downloaded the bios.

It is always dangerous to update bios.  Make sure you pass memory and disk tests before doing any bios update

Why upgrade bios?

Yes, you are supported but there is no need to use recovery as your disk drive is working and you just want to update bios.

To do the bios update, assuming you really need it***, you will need to create the bootable USB flash drive which is an option of the bios update

*** If the update goes wrong, it is possible the update can destroy your system leaving it un-recoverable

Look at the release info for the bios update.  If it is a security update let the network or security manager install it.  If this is a home system used for gaming it is likely any security update will slow down your computer.  if the release info indicates a fix for video, USB or battery problems AND it was suggested by HP support assistant then you might consider upgrading.

There have been a number of bios upgrades recommended by Microsoft update that have caused problems.  I would not update the bios based on Microsoft's recommendations, only HPs.

Well i did the cloud recovery thing because after a few times i had installed the windows 11 again from microsoft i started to have windows startup issues and other bunch of stuff, so i used that cloud recovery and it fixed all, i updated the bios cuz what hp says its a amd ryzen security update, i could have done that bios update by usb but i didnt cuz i had found that recovery tool thing fixed like every issue with my pc. btw my pc is a personal gaming pc, i got a seperate Dell laptop for school stuff 😄

and i did use hp's support assistant for the bios update.

thanks for you help anyways 👌😁
