I need to update my bios due to compatability with some apps but my OS version is 25H2 and the latest bios version i could find for my system says its for 24H2

  • Which applications are showing compatibility issues that prompted you to update the BIOS?
  • Have you already checked HP Support Assistant or the official HP Drivers & Downloads page for your model?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Verify Current BIOS Version:
    • Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and check the BIOS version/date. This helps confirm if you’re already on the latest release.
  2. HP Support Assistant:
    • Open HP Support Assistant and run a full update check. Sometimes newer BIOS updates are distributed through this tool before they appear on the website.
  3. Driver Updates:
    • Ensure your chipset and graphics drivers are updated. Many app compatibility issues are driver-related rather than BIOS-specific.
  4. Check HP Drivers Page:
  5. Stability First:
  • If no newer BIOS is available, it’s generally safer to stay on your current BIOS unless the update specifically addresses a critical issue you’re facing.

The app i am facing problems with is call of duty i am getting prompted to update my bios due to tpm 2.0 and secure boot not being enabled but i checked tpm.msc and my tpm is working i also checked msinfo32 and secure boot is on and bios is set to EUFI i have used HP assistant to update my bios to the latest version but still the same results
