We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The "Boot Device Not Found" error with Hard Disk (3F0) typically indicates that your computer cannot find the operating system on your hard disk. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Test the Hard Drive:

  • Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to check the health of your hard drive.
  • Follow these steps:
    • Shut down your computer completely.
    • Turn it on and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
    • Press the F2 key to start the diagnostics.
    • Choose Language if needed.
    • Select Component Tests from the menu, and then select Hard Drive. Run the test.

2. Reset the BIOS to Default Settings:

  • Sometimes, resetting the BIOS to its default settings can resolve boot issues.
  • Follow these steps:
    • Shut down your computer completely.
    • Turn it on and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
    • Press the F10 key to enter BIOS Setup.
    • Use the arrow keys to navigate to the File tab, and then select Load Setup Defaults.
    • Save and exit BIOS.

3. Reinstall the Operating System:

  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reinstall the operating system.
  • Use HP Cloud Recovery or the Microsoft Media Creation Tool if you have a recovery image or installation media:
    • Follow the instructions provided by the tool to reinstall your operating system.
