If your HP Pavilion All-in-One is experiencing blue screen errors following a recent Windows update, here are steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
Steps to Resolve Blue Screen Errors
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your system has all the latest Windows updates installed.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Update Device Drivers:
- Outdated or incompatible device drivers can cause blue screen errors.
- Go to Device Manager and update all drivers, particularly graphics drivers, network drivers, and chipset drivers.
Run Blue Screen Troubleshooter:
- Windows 10 includes a built-in blue screen troubleshooter.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Blue Screen.
Check System Files:
- Corrupted system files can lead to blue screen errors.
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow.
Uninstall Recent Updates:
- If the issue began after a specific update, removing that update may resolve the problem.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history > Uninstall updates.
Perform a System Restore:
- Restore your system to a previous state using System Restore if the issue started recently.
- Go to Control Panel > System > System Protection > System Restore.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Blue screens can also be caused by hardware malfunctions.
- Run HP hardware diagnostics to check for any hardware issues.
Steps to Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart your computer.
- Press F2 repeatedly during boot to enter HP Diagnostics.
- Run Extensive tests on all hardware components.
