Does anyone have any idea about how to find out my dvd-rw drive burn speed. I have  hp PLDS DVDRW DU8AESH but I would like to know for myself how to find this out. Seems this is the new HP support option because they make it impossible to get hold off them.

Some CD-writing software will query the "hardware details", or, if you insert a blank '48X' CD-recordable, it will report that your file(s) will be written at '8X', even though the media is certified as 48X.
