Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Pavilion 22xi monitor dating from 2014.  Will I be able to use it with a new Desktop PC running windows 11?

You're very welcome.

If the PC you want to buy has a HDMI out port and your monitor has an HDMI in port, then you can use a HDMI cable.

I can't think of any reason why your monitor wouldn't work just fine on W11.

I'm using an old Dell 1704 FPV LCD monitor from 2006 on W11, and it works just fine.

You should be able to as long as your existing video cable is compatible with any of the outputs from your PC.

If not, you can purchase a different cable.

For example:  If your new PC has an HDMI output, but your monitor only has a DVI input, you can buy a HDMI to DVI video cable and be able to use your older monitor just fine.

Thanks Paul.  My existing connection is DVI to DVI, but the monitor does have an HDMI slot.  The new PC that I'm thinking of buying has an HDMI output, so will an HDMI cable work?

Also is there any reason that my 2014 monitor won't work with Windows 11?

Thanks very much Paul

I've marked this as an accepted solution - hope that's the right thing to do as it's my first time using this site

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

If W11 doesn't install drivers for your monitor, you can use the W10 driver from the support page.

My Dell monitor is so old that no Dell 64-bit monitor drivers were ever released for it.

It uses the generic monitor driver that W11 automatically installs.
