Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

how can i change fan speed on hp pavilion 690 0013w in bios so far from what i have seen its locked it does however show the fan speed but no software i have used can change the four pin fan speeds nor can i change ram speeds in bios as well as cpu speeds or the main concern FAN SPEEDS please send me the bios file so i can modify it to allow me to control my own fan speed temps for ramp up and down. or unlock the bios entirely to allow the GAMING pc to do what gaming pcs are supposed to do....

Greetings,

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

HP consumer motherboards don't provide the ability to: modify fan curves, tweak memory speeds and timings, or CPU multipliers and voltages .

There is no HP BIOS update to change this fact.

What CPU temps are you seeing, under what conditions are you seeing these temps, and what software are you using to monitor temps?

Is your PC locking up or blue screening?

You should be in warranty status as your PC was released for sale in July of 2018. Contact HP Support (Link) for assistance if your PC is unstable when gaming.

Regards

amd ryzen master and cpu z stress testing. but under a few games very demanding as well the cpu gets hot. i dont understand why they dont allow it. the pc has a 380 watt psu and pretty much everything factory minus the disk drive only used one time for recovery and unhooked has moer then enough ectra power to be able to control fans. why both buying a four pin fan hp techs if your not gonna allow us to change the speed or allow software to smart control it itself...my cpu under no load using normal tasks ex chrome, downloading, youtube ie bluestacks....yes bluestacks....doesnt get warm at all...i jus need to be able to control everything...i did however change the ssd to boot drive susfully change the ram from factory it had to 2400 vulcan team group with clocks at 18, 20, 20, 48, 55 1T command rate, 1600 nb frequecy no change on any other settings for memory...any dam ways is there any way to use a bios from another hp 690 build???? yes i know no warrenty ect...but like i said nothing wrong with the pc but how can someone consider to have a gaming pc when they have no control over the settings on a simple fan module for crying out loud...let alone pushing the cpu to 4000mhz at 1.4v yes not safe but my bench scores are amazing...and i dont overclock it every time i start up rarely use the profile with that higher fault in it....anyways i think im one of the VERY few with this model who even comments or posts on here....i think many are dissapointed with the decent hardware but no control over it... sigh
