Situation: Legacy software 16 bits run on 32 bit OS. Old XP & Win 7 32 bit computers crashing.
Solution: i5-6500 is the latest generation that still support Windows 10 32 bits;
HP prodesk 600 G2 supposingly supports 32 bit OS.
Bought open box HP Prodesk 600 G2 i5-6500 desktop preloaded with Win 10 64 bits with HP 805D motherboard. Created windows 10 32 bit installer on a bootable usb from microsoft windows media creation tool.Tried to clean install windows 10 32 bit by going into bios and choosing usb to boot & accepting legacy boot.Computer starts up, bypasses the usb boot and goes straight to hard drive boot. Same happens when I try to install windows 7 32 bit iso.
Tried creating a bootable usb with both windows 10 32 bits and 64 bits. When I tried installing win 10 32 bits, it give me the following message:
file: |windows\system32\boot\winload.efi missing or corrupt
status: 0xc0000359
Does anyone have any solutions? I thought prodesk 600 g2 was suppose to support 32 bit os.

Have you run a "CHKDSK" to see if the file-system is not corrupt?
Have you powered-on your computer, immediately pressed ESC, and then launched the HP Diagnostic software to check the RAM and the disk-drive?
When you power-on your computer, and press a key (F10?) to display a boot-menu, is the USB memory-stick listed as a bootable device? is the CD/DVD listed?
How much RAM in your computer? The 32-bit Windows will only use the first 3.2 GB of your RAM.
That is OK is you have 4GB of RAM, or less. But, if you have more than 4GB, use 64-bit Windows to use all of it.

Hi, @Jkwhsu
For W7 you should have legacy mode enabled/secure boot disabled in the BIOS.
With the Intel Skylake platforms and W7, you have to install the 32 bit USB3 drivers in order for the installation to proceed.
The easiest way to do that would be to use the gigabyte USB tool to automatically slipstream the USB 3 drivers into your W7 installation media.
Here is the link to that tool...
You can watch this video for how to use the tool...
