Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to restore a backup system image to my PC from DVDs.  It is wiped clean.  I have the Repair Disc that I created in Windows 7 Home Prermium.  I have a system image I created on 8 DVDs. I insert the Repair Disc and start the system.  Get to System Recovery Options.  Select System Image Recovery option.  Says "Windows cannot find a system image on this computer.  Attach the backup hard disk or insert the final DVD from a bckup set and click retry.  Alternatively, close this dialog for more options."  I inserted the last DVD and waited a while.  I hit Retry, it searched and gave me the same message.  I made several attempts starting from scratch.  Please help.

Hi:

According to the product specs for your PC, it came with W7 Home Premium 64 bit, so here is the direct link to the ISO file download.  The link is only good for 24 hours, so download the file as soon as you can.

Hi:

If you can still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on your PC's case, you can make your own plain W7 installation media.

Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe link to download the tool to create the W7 ISO file download.

Select the W7 COEM ISO file download version for the product key the OS is good for, which is the OEM operating system ISO file.

I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below, that will allow you to either put the file on a USB flash drive or burn it to a DVD.

Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.

If the Microsoft tool doesn't work to burn a DVD, use this free DVD burning software to burn the ISO file to a DVD.

Select the "Burn ISO file option."

Burn it at the slowest speed you can.

Microsoft says I must get the ISO file from HP since Windows 7 was preinstalled.  HP says "No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system."

You can get the ISO file from that site I posted.

I quote from the Heidoc site...

In the past, Microsoft provided disk images for many of their products through their subcontractor "Digital River". These downloads were pulled in early 2014. Afterwards, Microsoft made a limited selection of downloads available on their TechBench site. Our tool is based on TechBench, and makes a range of hidden products available for download.

HP no longer sells recovery media for your PC's model series, so the only other place you can get the HP W7 recovery media is from this non HP vendor at the link below...

Got this twice from the HeiDoc site.  Not sure it is worth $27 to spend on a PC I want to sell.  Is there a way you can provide me the file if you can download it?  Thanks. HeiDoc.jpg

Thanks, that worked after my son-in-law partioned the hard drive since DBAN had wiped it out.
