changed the cmos battery out, know having to remove and reinstall the battery daily to get the display to work, any ideas to correct the issue?

I have tried another battery with the same results.

What system do you have ?

Many HP system have either a button to reset the CMOS or jumpers or have both.

If the button is stuck "down" or the jumpers are in the wrong place then the battery will quickly discharge.

There are a very few motherboards where it is known that the labeling on the jumpers are reversed.
