dc7700 Ultra slim
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Installed windows 10 on a dc7700 ultra slim desktop. Had 2 drivers missing: PCI Simple Communications controller, which I managed to sort. Now all I have left is PCI Serial Port.

I have trawled far and wide trying to find a legitimate way to get the driver, but have had no luck.

Device information:

\VEN_8086&DEV_2997&SUBSYS_2803103C&REV_02\3&21436425&0&1B

Also, is there anywhere I can download a 'driver pack' for this model and other, older models (dc7800 SFF for example) for windows 10? I've got over 100 of these machiens that I'm upgrading to Windows 10 via MDT. Being able to import the drivers so they install automatically would make my life soooo much easier.

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

This package contains the Intel Local Management Service (LMS) and Serial-over-LAN (SOL) support for Active Management Technology (AMT) as part of the Intel Digital Office Initiative for the supported desktop models and operating systems.NOTE: Previous versions of Intel LMS and SOL Software must be uninstalled prior to installing this updated version of the software.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34744.exe

HP does not support any PC made prior to August of 2103 for W10, so we are left to our own devices to find working drivers.

Thanks very much for that! You also helped me fix the other missing driver, so thanks for that!

You're very welcome.

The only actual W10 driver there is would be the one for the Realtek HD audio.

You can get that directly from Realtek by accepting the agreement, and installing the 2nd file on the list.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownT...

Right now, you probably have some generic Microsoft HD audio driver installed.

Just reinstalled windows on the dc7700 (get rid of all the things i installed previously in testing). Can't install the first driver you gave me (PCI Serial port).

Running as adminsitrator brings up the error that the os is not supported. Running on compatibiltiy mode tells me i need admin rights. An endless loop of errors!

Manually install the driver by browsing to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

Go to the device manager and click on the PCI Serial Port needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34744.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC.

Will give that a go tomorrow hopefully and will update how I get on.
