> Do I need to get a computer online repair co, for my desktop?
Not really. The contributors to this forum are great at giving assistance for free.
There is a site: http://www.computeronlinerepair.com
that promotes that toll-free number.
The "should I answer" web-site: https://www.shouldianswer.com/phone-number/8664395034
has mostly-negative comments about that telephone-number.
> It crashed once and gave me a # to call 1-866-439-5034
That was a "fake" crash. It was just a web-page that was intended to TRICK you into calling them.
Just rebooting your computer, and not allowing your web-browser to restore the same web-page is all you needed to do.
> I called and they said they were a approved Microsoft repair co.
Probably "fake news".
> had it fixed cost $149.99 for a 5 year service agreement.
Since there was nothing wrong, there really was nothing to "fix". Sigh.
Also, since you never really had a problem, you probably will not have a "real" problem during the next 5 years.
Of course, some people always add an "extended warranty" on their purchases, and keep meticulous records about what/when they bought, and how to get service via that warranty. Some don't.
> Is this something i should keep?
My opinion: NO. Ask them for a refund. If they will not refund, contact your bank/credit-union that issued the credit-card that you used to pay them. Call the toll-free number on the back of your credit-card.
Explain to the bank/credit-union that you were social-engineered, and you want to "reverse" the charge.
They will advise you on how to proceed.
> Or should I get something else?
No. Do not get "something else". Instead, post here, and get free help.
