Hi @lheger62,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Notebook - 15 might be having display or graphics issues if the screen is blank after login. You might want to try these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart in Safe Mode: Try booting into Safe Mode. If the screen works in Safe Mode, it could be a driver issue. To do this, restart your computer and repeatedly press F8 or Shift + F8 as it starts up.
  • Check Display Connections: If you're using an external monitor, ensure that all cables are securely connected.
  • Update or Roll Back Drivers: If you can access Safe Mode, try updating or rolling back your graphics drivers.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Power off your laptop, disconnect all external devices, and then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Reconnect the power and try turning it on again.
  • Check for Physical Damage: Ensure there are no visible signs of physical damage to the screen or components.

For obtaining a copy of Windows 10 for your All-in-One, you can download it from the Microsoft website. You'll need a valid license key to activate Windows 10, which you can use from your existing license or purchase a new one if needed. If your All-in-One came with Windows 10 pre-installed, it should already have a license tied to the hardware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
