Hi @Keirsten29,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m sorry to hear your HP computer is stuck like this especially since it’s been going on for two days. Let’s work through this together step-by-step to try and get it back up and running.

1. Hard Reboot

  • Hold down the power button for 10–15 seconds until the system shuts off.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • If it still gets stuck, move to the next step.

2. Boot into Recovery Mode

Try forcing Windows into recovery mode:

  • Turn on the PC and force shut it down as soon as you see the HP logo (do this 3 times).
  • On the 4th boot, Windows should enter Recovery Mode.
  • You’ll see options like:
    • Startup Repair
    • System Restore
    • Command Prompt
    • Advanced Options

Let me know which options appear I’ll guide you from there.

3. Use Safe Mode (if available)

If you reach Recovery Mode:

  • Go to Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart
  • Press F4 or F5 to boot into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking

If Safe Mode works, we can:

  • Uninstall recent updates
  • Run system scans
  • Check for driver issues

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
