Good afternoon, I have an HP laptop 15-ef1xx, Windows 11 pro 64-bit operating system, a month ago I bought a wireless mouse with Bluetooth mode and USB port. The Bluetooth recognizes the device as well as the USB port, so I personally think the problem would be the device driver, so I hope you can help me with this driver:
Device name: Trust Deskset
Brand name: 2.4Ghz Wireless Optical Mouse
Current driver name: HID-Compliant Mouse, driver date 06/21/2006, driver version: 10.0.26100.1150
I hope you can help me, thanks

@Diamante8, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP laptop 15-ef1xx!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that your 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mouse (Trust Deskset) is being recognized by both Bluetooth and USB on your HP Laptop 15-ef1xx running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, but you suspect a driver issue due to the older HID-Compliant Mouse driver. I'd be happy to assist you in troubleshooting this. Try these steps:
Update the Driver Manually
- Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click on HID-Compliant Mouse and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers and allow Windows to install any available updates.
- Restart your laptop and check if the mouse functions correctly.
Reinstall the Device
- In Device Manager, right-click HID-Compliant Mouse and select Uninstall device.
- Disconnect the mouse and restart your laptop.
- Reconnect the mouse via Bluetooth or USB, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Check Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for pending updates, especially under Optional Updates for device drivers.
If the issue persists, please let us know if the mouse works on another computer or if you receive any error messages. We’ll be happy to assist you further.
Looking forward to your update!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
