I was trouble shooting some USB connectivity issues, and I disabled my usb security in the BIOS bootup. Meant to only disable the front USB, but guessing I disabled the back as well in error. Now no USB will work with my mouse or keyboard. Is there anyway to get back into the startup now and change the security setting back?

Thanks for the response. Though am wondering if CMOS default from the link is what I actually have in my HP computer? I have a Elite HPE-510t, bought March 2011? The CMOS I found on the motherboard had a jumper on pins 6,4 and a jumper on pins 5,3. So not sure if the instructions aaply to my configuration?

You're very welcome.
That is the motherboard info linked to your PC's support page.
One of those jumpers clears the CMOS and one clears a BIOS password if one was set.
See if you can read the tiny white lettering on the motherboard and figure out which jumper clears which.
The only way you are going to be able to clear the CMOS is to move the right jumper.
I guess you can also try powering off and unplugging the PC, press the power button to drain any residual power to the motherboard, and remove the coin cell battery, and see if that would also reset the CMOS.
The coin cell battery maintains some of those settings such as the date and time.
If it maintains all of them in your PC, then you are in luck.

All good. All USB ports nw show enabled in BIOS. But now have a different problem, that is the keyboard is only recognized during the bootup? Once windows is loaded, the USB keyboard cannot input anything at all. Tried to move to a different USB port and nothing. Mouse is the same? Anyway to work this when I do not have anyway to input instructions/commands?
