Product: pavilion a1740n
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have replaced my harddrive and installed windows 7. The drivers for the motherboard, sound, networking and chipset are nowhere to be found on the internet (at least from my search). I know this is an old HP computer and HP no longer supports this model, but can anyone point me to the drivers that I need?

Hi:

 

I looked up the product specs for your PC.

 

See if these drivers work.

 

First install the Intel chipset installation utility and restart the PC.

 

Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

Graphics:  Install and restart the PC

Audio:  Accept the agreement.  Download and install the 2nd driver on the list.

Ethernet:  2nd one on the list is 64 bit.
