PC not booting up
HP system recovery failed to uninstall latest upgrade
Only option was to reset to factory settings
This failed.. error message " cannot locate system disk"
Only option is to reboot but comes back to same message

Hi:
I recommend that you run the hard drive diagnostics test in the BIOS (F2) and rule out a failed hard drive.
If the drive passes the diagnostics test, you have two options to try and reinstall W10.
You will need another Windows PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer on it, since yours is not working.
1. Use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

2. You can reinstall W10 for free by making bootable installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
