HP Pavilion Slimline s5713w Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I’m trying to wipe all malware and files off of the desktop and figured a factory reset would be the best way to go about it. (I was gifted the computer because it “doesn’t work because of all the viruses”)I don’t care to keep any of the files and have made it somewhat of the way through the process. But upon reaching the recovery manager screen I wasn’t sure what to click. Options are: “Microsoft system restore” “Microsoft startup repair tool” or “system recovery” Where should I go from here?

Windows 10 is still a free upgrade for anyone using 7

Your CPU is 64 bit so install the 64 bit version of windows 10.  Select the "home" version

Use your windows 7 serial serial number to activate..  I assume the 32 bit version is "home" or "premium"

Make sure the serial key for window 7 exists and is visible.  The win 7  product key is not the same as the serial.

Go here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-pc-series/503535...

and get the win7  (not the win 8 drivers for 64 bit win 7

The win8 drivers are missing the chipset for some reason.

go here to get the windows 10 iso
