Greetings @Tanya_79
Welcome to the HP Forum.
It could be a corrupted operating system problem, a system disk problem, or a memory problem.
Check Hardware:
Check your PC's hardware first using HP Diagnostics as follows:
Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.
Select "F2". Run system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem. Run extensive tests.
Use the System File Checker:
Check System Files:
Open an Admin command prompt as follows:
Open Search then enter "command prompt". Right-click on the search result.
Select "Run as Administrator".
Enter the following commands, one at a time. Wait for each command to complete before running the next command.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth note: the PC must be connected to the network when using the DISM command.
Enter the next command to verify system files are okay.
sfc /scannow
Operating System Repair:
The next step would be to try a non-destructive W11 repair install. This option should be in: Settings>System>Recovery>Fix problems using Windows update.
You would have to get the W11.ISO to do a repair if your version of Windows does not have the repair option.
Mount the W11.ISO within W11. Click on Setup.exe to start the repair.
