@kmwoj, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The E0 error on your HP ENVY 6000 series printer indicates an unusable ink cartridge. This typically means that one or both of the cartridges are either:

  • Not installed correctly,
  • Damaged,
  • Empty,
  • Counterfeit or previously used (especially if setup cartridges were not used during initial setup).

Here's how to resolve the E0 error:

Check Cartridge Installation

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove both cartridges.
  • Make sure there is no protective tape left on the cartridge contacts.
  • Reinsert the cartridges firmly until they click into place.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges

  • Ensure you're using genuine HP ink cartridges.
  • If the printer was just set up, make sure you used the original setup cartridges that came with the printer.

Clean Cartridge Contacts

  • Power off the printer and unplug it.
  • Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer using a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Let everything dry for 10 minutes before reinserting.

Replace the Cartridge

  • If the error persists, one of the cartridges may be defective.
  • Try replacing the cartridge that was last changed or appears empty.

Reset the Printer

  • With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
