going back to windows 10

how do i go back to windows 10 after installing linux mint , is the activation code still on motherboard?

If the PC came with Windows 10 and the Recovery Manager/Partition was not removed, then perhaps repeatedly press the F11 key immediately after pressing start.  If that does not work or the Recovery Partition was removed when the Linux OS was installed, then check this

And if that does not give you an install of Windows 10, the last option is from here:

Scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media" and follow the directions.  Then do a clean install of Windows 10.  In the "Operating System" heading you state Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit), if that is true, be sure to pick that option, if that is really what was on the PC.  If you post the complete model number of the "Pavilion ", I can verify that, too.

 

Any of these ways to install Windows 10 will result in an activated install.
