I am trying to recycle my HP Pavilion desktop. Mainly because it has a bad hard disk (drive) I have tried to do it twice now and it keeps getting stuck at about 62% each time and goes no further even after leaving it for days at a time. please somebody help me. email edwardleroygray**bleep**

If the hard drive is faulty, then it cannot complete the factory reset.  The drive needs to be replaced.  If that is the only reason to recycle the PC, assuming you mean give it away, then it can be repaired if you wish.

Please comment further about just what your wishes are.
