HP Pavilion Elite e9240f........MXU9400MLH
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

i have a HP Pavilion Elite e9240f and when it starts up screen stops and reads unknown error 8302 press F2 to continue and would like to fix this.......yes i could go on and just press F2 but there is a problem causing this and should not see this and if there is a repair i am willing to do whatever it takes.......... serial number is MXU9400MLH

Try updating the computer - 

 

Step 1 Windows Updates - 

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates. 

2) Check for updates. 

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 

2) Check for updates. 

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Check for BIOS update for your PC from this link. if there are no updates available, try BIOS defaults. Here is how you do it-

1) Shutdown the computer. 

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears. 

3) Press F10 once for BIOS. 

4) Press F9 for BIOS defaults. 

5) Press F10 to save and exit. 

 

Now, check for system updates if any.
