Hi @yu-gi-oh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I request you to remove and re-add the program.

Use Windows Uninstall Feature:

  • Open the Windows Start menu.
  • Type "Add or Remove Programs" and select it from the search results.
  • Scroll down the list of installed programs to find "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI – v10.1.0.0."
  • Click on it and select "Uninstall."

HP Diagnostics UEFI Removal Tool: HP sometimes provides a specific removal tool for their software. Check the HP website or your laptop's support page for a dedicated uninstaller for HP Diagnostics UEFI. Download and run this tool to remove the software.

Using the Command Prompt:

  • Press Win + X and choose "Windows Terminal (Admin)" or "Command Prompt (Admin)" depending on your Windows version.
  • Type the following command and press Enter:

wmic product where "name like 'HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI%'" call uninstall

This command should find and uninstall the program.

Safe Mode Uninstallation: Sometimes, certain programs are stubborn to uninstall. You can try uninstalling it in Safe Mode, which ensures minimal interference from other running processes.

  • Restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 or Shift + F8 key during boot (or use whichever key your system uses to access Safe Mode).
  • In Safe Mode, try uninstalling the program using the methods mentioned above.

Manual Removal (Advanced): WARNING: This should only be attempted if you're comfortable with advanced system changes.

  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\HP\HP PC Hardware Diagnostics\ and delete the folder if it exists.
  • You might also need to check the Registry for any leftover entries. Press Win + R, type regedit, and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HP. Delete the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics" folder if it exists.
  • After attempting one or more of these methods, restart your computer. The software should be completely removed.

Once done please install it: https://support.hp.com/in-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
