Hi. I Have an HP slimline 260a120np that i want to replace the HD To an SSD but the pc wont boot when I connect the SSD(Samsung 860qvo 1TB). I cloned the hd using Samsung data migration tool and disabled secure boot on the bios and enabled legacy boot.
When i connect the ssd via an usb adapter the pc tries to boot and then windows gives me an error. But the problem is when 1 connect a ssd to the sata port the pc stays on the hp logo and I cant get into the bios. I have tried a different model of of ssd (samsung 840 evo) with the same result. I cant even install a fresh copy of windows because the pc wont boot when a ssd is connected. the same ssd will be recognized if plugged via an usb adapter.

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
I have seen this problem in this Forum with certain other HP consumer PCs.
No solution was provided.
The Samsung 2.5 inch SATA SSDs have a problem on some HP PCs.
Regards
