Hi @sara2005,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you can’t find your mouse cursor. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and bring the cursor back.

Move the mouse or touchpad slowly
Move your mouse or swipe on the touchpad and look closely at the screen edges.
The cursor may be present but very small or positioned off-center.

Use the keyboard to locate the cursor
Press Ctrl on the keyboard a few times.
If “Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key” is enabled, a ripple will appear around the cursor.

Check if the touchpad or mouse is disabled
Press Fn + F key with a touchpad icon (varies by model).
Some laptops disable the touchpad accidentally with a key combination.

Re-enable the cursor in Mouse Settings
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse.
Select Additional mouse settings, then check Enable pointer trails briefly to help locate it.

Increase cursor size and visibility
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Mouse pointer and touch.
Increase the pointer size and choose a high-contrast color.

Restart Windows Explorer
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Restart Windows Explorer to refresh the display and cursor rendering.

Disconnect external displays
If you’re using a second monitor, unplug it temporarily.
The cursor may be appearing on another screen or outside the visible area.

Restart the laptop
Save any open work and restart the system.
This clears temporary display or driver glitches that can hide the cursor.

I hope this helps.
