Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail especially a BIOS update
It is always dangerous to update BIOS. What is the problem that the BIOS will fix?
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp149001-149500/sp149209.exe
I found it here and it is for Omen 30L GT12-046na and rom bios ssid 87C3
make sure your BIOS SSID is 87C3
make sure you can pass memory and disk diagnostics before installing
The previous F.28 bios had this warning quote
NOTE: After this BIOS update is installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be reinstalled. |
FYI - The F.27 crashed my system twice and all I tried to do was to expand the bios file 087C327.exe to examine the setup information. I really do not recommend installing it.

I do not think it is possible to go back.
Bring up your BIOS and look for the version and a ROM identifier
I suspect the HP support assistant has that info if you click on your PC "device"
and msinfo32.exe also has it as "baseboard"
