is there a default password for the HP administrator

i keep getting grief about needing admin access. hp administrator is the admin and it wont let me do much of anything. if anyone knows if there was a default password, I would be eternally grateful.

was originally shipped with Windows Vista, where "User Account Control" was introduced.

Google-search for "Nordahl offline password".

This is software that you can use to create a bootable CD-R.

Boot your computer from this CD, and follow the on-screen instructions to "blank" the password.

Remove the CD, and reboot.

When prompted for a password, just press ENTER.

Then, set a new password.

Thanks. I finally had a clue and just restarted the pc in setup mode, made the appropriate changes there. I appreciate your help.
